Title Bar - Digital Printing Benefits

One of the STRONGEST ADVANTAGES of digital printing is the shorter preparation time.

No Pre-Press Work:
This is less complicated for digital than for plate-based technology. This is due to the simple
procedure of directly depositing ink onto a substrate versus transferring it from a plate
to a substrate.

No Trapping:
An industry known issue with plate-based technology. When two colors contact each other to
make a design there is a possibility that a GAP could appear if the plate isn't touching
precisely where it should (also known as "Out of Register").

A expert pre-press worker has to apply EXTRA precise sizing of the color areas to ensure
that one color will always overlap the other eliminating the GAP (also known as "Trapping").

Steps Eliminated:
These tedious and time-consuming tasks are eliminated in digital, because the dots lay over
one another PERFECTLY every time.

No Plates:
No need to purchase PLATES and have them sit around as an added expense or on someone's
inventory.

Customization on the Roll:
Digital printing makes it easy to vary graphics. There's no problem with changing colors
or images every other section on a roll.

This gives you the added advantage of applying labels on a single line with a single roll.
On a traditional printing press you would need multiple plates for each label's color
and design change.
